• Disable screen blanking
• Disabling Ubuntu Monitor Power Saver

• remove password after suspend
  • Hit Alt-F2 and type gconf-editor. In gconf-editor, navigate to /apps/gnome-power-manager/lock and uncheck the suspend option (probably hibernate too if you use that).
